Since I'm on the subject, here's a few pictures of the new B-25J for FS2002 coming out soon. This will also be available from the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum (www.maam.org)

The official word from them is "soon" so it's hard telling. As soon as I find out anything I'll be sure to post it.

Hmm... I just downloaded the 20mb package this morning and har a go at it. I must say, I'm somehow disapointed... I realise that this is only a "test-package", but I had expected something more. The graphics are not that fantastic (it's all seen before) and using the engine sounds from a Cessna... I'll leave that without a comment... And all that text in the flightdeck view... It makes me crazy. The only thing it's good for, is to test the flying characteristics which appears to be well done and close to the real thing (mind you, I've never piloted a B-25 for real). I know the intention with the package is to after a try out to buy the complete CD which I most likely will do as soon as I get some new/faster hardware.

I think I'll jump back to the C-172 and practice some spins...

Another B-25 is about to be released, this time it's Roy Chaffin and his groups' version:

" RCS B25 to be FREEWARE "

I am delighted to formally announce that the long anticipated and soon to be released RCS B25, will be in our original tradition of FREEWARE.

Make no mistake, this will be a superb package of stunning quality, and is likely to be enhanced and developed even further as time goes on, but the whole team are of one view, in that we want to put it out as FREEWARE with no registration process. Working from the information on the MS website, we are hopeful it will be compatible with the next version of FS, but as more is published we will want to add enhancements to our B25 to take advantage of any new features.

You have all been very patient as we have developed this package, but you are soon to be rewarded. A formal release date will be announced on this page as soon as available, and that release will be pretty quickly after that announcement.

Back to the finishing off the development work.

Have a great week.

I don't know who posted the cockpit shots of the B-25 but I must remark about the cross cockpit digital art. I find it very well done artistically and technically. Colors, shading, lighting and texturing is some of the best I have seen.
