I've renamed this forum to the "Classifieds", replacing the previous name, "The Collector's Corner".

I'm not sure if the word classifieds has the same meaning worldwide, but the area should be thought of as a newspaper classifieds section in which you can list rare items and parts for sale, or perhaps, create a want ad for a part you're looking for to complete your restoration project.

Please keep all listings related to aviation, particularly vintage airliners and military transports. Remember that the Propliners.com rules and regulations still apply. Propliners.com reserves the right to edit or delete any listings, or part of listings that are determined to be in violation of the rules. We will of course contact you if this is done.

I recommend only listing email addresses for the contact information and not phone numbers or street addresses.

I think that having this particular forum can be a great asset to museums and the aviation community worldwide. Those of you on this board that suggested it are the ones to thank.

I just returned from one of my favorite sites having nothing to do with aircraft...but with the restoration of the Flying Yankee passenger train. Monthly updates on the restoration progress there are presented with appropriate photos...which brings me to the Propliners site. I would really like to see updated photographs and news of the various transport projects taking place around the world.
I have not seen anything for some time now on the plans of Eastern Airlines retirees who had plans to take on the restoration and operation of a Douglas four engine transport.

There have been no updates on this site concerning the Airline History Museum progress on the DC-3, the Martin 404 and the Constellation.

I am sure there are a number of projects taking place we should be looking at...including more updates on the Red Bull transport.

How about more interior shots from over seas and from here of older transports...including cabins, cockpits, galleys
etc.

What is the progress of the Stratoliner. I would like to see what they have to do to get the airplane up and running again. Some close up shots of damage inside and out would be interesting...and give us a good idea what restoration teams face on a job like that.

What's the latest with the Swiss and the Dutch on their projectes.

England is always up to something when it comes to preservation and restoration.

Australia...how about you. Can anyone there snoop around to see who is doing what in restoration.

Germany, Italy, China, Japan......Eastern and Central Europe....Canada, Mexico, Central and South America...send us news and pictures of what is going on with you in airliner restoration and preservation.

Doug

Your email address was right but I never recieved your inquiry. Sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. My purpose in this matter is to give the air and space museums along the west coast USA. first refusal. I have a particular interest in those air museums located in my area. Lets give it a little time.
